What We Do And Don't Have Time For

We don't have time to swarm in mind-drama about how much stuff we have to do, how much yard work or laundry there always is to do, and how 'behind' we are on all of it …and still do the creative thing we really want to do.

We don't have time to stress out over how much continuous work it is to run a business and wear all the hats in our business and learn all the things there is to learn in a business …and still do the necessary work.

We don't have time to obsess over all the things that 'need to be done' …and still actually do and enjoy the things we are going to do.

Catch That Pattern!

There's a pattern here. Did you catch it?  Our time and our energy are limited. Mind drama is LIMITLESS and will eat up our every bit of our precious time and energy. But, then, we are left empty-handed. We are left with the ache of our unfulfilled desires.

The time has passed and we have little to show for it. This is what some people call “dying with your dreams still inside of you.” Don’t let this happen to you!

Your Desire to Create Something Matters

Whether you want to create plans for a new side-business. ... or you want to create time for more home cooked meals. ...or you simply crave some extra time "playing" with your item of choice... That desire matters.

It really IS up to you to decide what you want to do and then decide for yourself that it matters JUST as much as all those things other things you think feel like you "have" to do.

The Easy Way Out: I’m Busy

I have always been inspired by the beauty and intricacy of jewelry. As a young girl, I loved exploring both of my grandmother's jewelry boxes, admiring all of the delicate and intricate things.

But as I grew older and became focused on creating a business that would really make an impact in the world.

I knew that adding beauty through the world with jewelry was FUN. But was it impactful enough?

Plus, I was struggling to feel like myself and my ‘Eureka!’ moment involving the gut-brain connection was what led me to start my company, Lifted Naturals.

From there, making time for my passion project became much harder. Between long hours spent working on Lifted, and family responsibilities, it often felt like there were never enough hours in the day for pursuing my dreams. However, I was determined not to let that stop me.

It wasn’t careful planning or creative scheduling that finally helped me to make the leap into my own fine jewelry brand. Nope. Instead, the real catalyst that inspired me to start my own fine jewelry brand was that the idea would NOT go away. It popped into my mind when I was meditating. It popped onto the page when I was journaling. It was always right there, tugging at me.

First, I decided to carve out time each week to focus on designing new ring designs— just for the fun of it. And it was worth every ounce of effort; this project gives me so much joy and satisfaction and it makes me feel more like the ME I want to be in the world:

Creative. Expressive. Abundant. And filled with enough presence to prioritize beauty and style.

A Three Step Process For Busy People

I like it when people make things simple for me, so allow me to try and do the same for you...

1. Figure out what you REALLY WANT TO DO

2. Call BLUFF on the DRAINING story about ALL the other stuff being MORE IMPORTANT

3. DO THE THING YOU FEEL PULLED TO DO

The Unique Trick To Creating More Energy

It's funny because the old story of 'not enough time' really does fade away when you MAKE time to do things that fill you up. When you honor what you feel pulled to explore, you become energized and those other "obligations" are significantly less exhausting. It sounds crazy, but it's oh-so-true.

Really. Try it out...

Do you struggle finding making time for the topics that tug at you?

I would love to hear about what you want to do/make/build/create/become/START in the comments below.
